tcc: befriending

The Befriending Project helps people who are rurally and/or socially isolated , living on their own , no close family in the area, having difficulties getting out of the house or for example have suffered a bereavement.

Volunteers can make home visits, drop in for a chat , share a nice pot of tea and help with correspondence for example.

Regular outings are also arranged, taking clients to stately homes, country pub lunches, garden and leisure centres, the seaside , talks and demonstrations for a great day out.

"everyone is so eager to please and cheerful, who could ask for more, we really enjoy the activities and friendships made"
